Find out how to post on Facebook today regardless of not being able to connect!
Facebook is the best way I have to communicate with my friends and family across the pond on a daily basis. So if you are an expat like me – living in Europe – you woke up to find that Facebook was gone…but only temporarily.
After various attempts, I checked Google and found that Facebook is down throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East as well as some countries in Asia. So far the countries that have reported Facebook being down are the following:
Abu Dhabi , Albania, Belgium, Belgrade, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt , Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Norway, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka , Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UAE, Ukraine, the U.K. and Zimbabwe.
Mark Zuckerberg Shut Facebook Down
There was a rumor that was going around saying that Mark Zuckerberg would shut Facebook down in March, but this does not seem to be the reason for today’s downtime.
Anonymous Has Hacked Facebook
Anonymous has threatened to hack into Facebook and shut it down, but they have yet to be successful. It is unclear whether they have finally attained their goal.

What do we do now?
Take the time to connect with the people around you.
Enjoy the day and see what it feels like to be WITH yourself.
Call a friend or have coffee with one. Go connect with someone in person.
Take advantage of not feeling as if you have to report everything you do. Everything will be fine.
